Fabcon, the leading precast concrete wall producer, will provide its patented VersaCore Plus? wall panels to build four new entertainment facilities in Illinois, Minnesota and Missouri. An expansion of the National Sports Center Ice Arena in Blaine, Minn., will feature more than 100,000 square feet of VersaCore Plus concrete wall panels. The expansion will add four ice sheets to the Schwan Super Rink, bringing the total number to eight and making it the largest indoor ice facility in the world. The new arena is expected to open in October of 2006, in time for a full winter season of hockey, figure skating, broomball and other ice activities. Fabcon will provide Kerasotes ShowPlace Theatres' newest location in Cicero, Ill., with approximately 85,000 square feet of VersaCore Plus precast concrete panels. The new theatre will feature 14 screens and is scheduled to open in fall of 2006. Wehrenberg Theatre's newest facility in Dardeene Prairie, Mo., will feature approximately 55,000 square feet of VersaCore Plus precast concrete panels. The 14-screen theatre, scheduled to open in May of 2006, will anchor the 300,000 square-foot Dardeene Shopping Center.
