FABCON'S NEW STORMWATER TREATMENT FACILITY RECOGNIZED
Outland Builders, Inc. receives a Pyramid Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- March 9, 2009

SAVAGE, Minn., March 9, 2009 Fabcon's state-of-the-art stormwater treatment facility was recognized as a Project of Distinction in the Pyramid Awards -- an award presented by the Minnesota chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. Outland Builders, Inc. received the award for helping Fabcon keep sediment-laden stormwater from flowing off its site and into sensitive wetlands.

"As part of this project, we constructed a massive storage tank which holds up to 320,000 gallons of water and weighs more than 1,300 tons." said Wayde Johnson, president of Outland Builders. "As a result, the water discharging from the site is now cleaner and more sediment-free than natural runoff from the wetland upstream."

Because of its success in Minnesota, Fabcon is looking at installing similar water treatment systems at its three other plants.

"This unique venture allows Fabcon to further enhance sustainable processes at our manufacturing site," said Mike Le Jeune, president and CEO of Fabcon. "We value our relationship with Outland Builders and congratulate them on the success of this project."
