Press ReleasesFABCON ATTAINS NPCA CERTIFIED PLANT DISTINCTIONFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- August 9, 2007 Certification of its Minnesota plant showcases Fabcon's commitment to quality Fabcon Inc.'s Savage, Minn., plant has achieved Plant Certification status by the National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA). The designation recognizes Fabcon's Savage facility as one that manufactures precast concrete at the highest standards of production and quality control. The Fabcon plant is one of two precast wall panel manufacturing facilities in Minnesota to achieve certification from the NPCA. NPCA established its national plant certification program in 1987 to ensure a consistent industry benchmark and a high degree of excellence among precast operations. The program involves a comprehensive review of all aspects of a plant's manufacturing processes. To achieve certification, participants must pass an initial inspection. Plants then maintain certification by passing periodic, unannounced site inspections conducted by an independent engineering firm. "Fabcon has proven its commitment to producing high-quality precast products by attaining certification," said Ty Gable, NPCA president. "Engineers, architects and contractors who specify NPCA certification and purchase products from certified plants are assured they are receiving products that come from an organization dedicated to the highest level of quality throughout the manufacturing process."
