FABCON COMMEMORATES ANNIVERSARY WITH ?INNOVATION IN MANUFACTURING DAY?

SAVAGE, Minn., Aug. 23, 2006 ? Fabcon, a leading precast concrete panel manufacturer, formally celebrated its 35th anniversary on Friday, Aug. 11, 2006. Attended by nearly 600 people, the celebration included plant tours, a showcase highlighting Fabcon's innovative patents, equipment and panel designs, keynote speakers and a custom sheet cake specially designed to look like Fabcon's famous VersaCore panel.


Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty proclaimed Aug. 11, 2006, as "Innovation in Manufacturing Day" to recognize companies like Fabcon who continue to raise the bar in manufacturing and technology achievements. With 84 patents filed in the areas of plant automation, original panel design and innovative manufacturing equipment, Fabcon's accomplishments are representative of the success achieved by many Minnesota companies.

Keynote speakers included Thomas Brennan, mayor of Savage; Claire Robling, Minnesota state senator; Mark Buesgens, Minnesota representative; David Gaither, chief of staff for Governor Pawlenty; and John Kline, U.S. congressman.
