Fabcon, a leading precast concrete wall producer, will provide more than 66,000 square feet of its patented VersaCore Plus? wall panels to build a public works building for the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC) in Shakopee, Minn. To be completed in 2007, the building will be home to three departments for the SMSC including the print shop, public works and maintenance. The SMSC's Gaming Enterprise also will house three departments within the public works building: fleet maintenance, property operations and the furnishings shop. The contractor for the project is Shingobee Builders, Inc. and the building was designed by HTG Architects. The building will have a uniform rib finish and erection is expected to begin in July. Fabcon provides architects, engineers and building owners with precast wall panels that deliver premium thermal efficiency, structural integrity and design flexibility.
