Four new retail facilities in Kansas, Wisconsin and Minnesota will feature precast concrete wall panels manufactured by Fabcon, a leading precast concrete wall producer. Nebraska Furniture Mart, Tangers Mall and two new Target stores will feature Fabcon's patented, lightweight VersaCore Plus? wall panels that deliver high thermal efficiency and structural design flexibility. Nebraska Furniture Mart selected Fabcon to supply and install more than 103,000 square feet of VersaCore Plus precast concrete panels for an addition to its Kansas City, Kans., facility. Construction of the addition began on Dec. 28, 2005. In the popular tourist area of Wisconsin Dells, Fabcon will provide Tangers Mall with more than 71,000 square feet of VersaCore Plus precast concrete panels. Erection of Fabcon panels for the new shopping center began on Dec. 6, 2005 in Lake Delton, Wis. Target's newest stores at Knollwood, in St. Louis Park, and Fridley, Minn., will use approximately 116,000 combined square feet of Fabcon's VersaCore Plus concrete panels. Panel erection is slated to begin on Feb. 20 in St. Louis Park and March 6 in Fridley. The Minnesota stores are 2 of 16 projects currently in progress with Fabcon and Target. Fabcon provides architects, engineers and building owners with precast wall panels that deliver premium thermal efficiency, structural integrity and design flexibility.
