Process Engineer

Fabcon, Inc. a leading manufacturer of pre-stressed concrete wall panels has an immediate opening for a Process Engineer in our Savage, MN facility.

The Process Engineer will apply knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to support plant automation projects, optimize production processes, and support lean initiatives.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

•Analyze production processes to improve efficiency
•Find root cause of quality problems
•Ensure optimal use and Operation of automation systems
•Assist in documentation & training of production processes
•Assist quality, safety, and manufacturing management in implementation of new processes
•Document payback, labor rates, and equipment performance as required
•Work with Plant Engineer and R&D to develop tools, enhancements, and equipment to solve problems
•Champion Lean practices and activities within production
•Other duties as required

Qualifications should include:

•Bachelors degree in Engineering or related
•Knowledge of industrial automation
•Five years of experience or more
•Strong leadership, organizational and decision making skills
•Strong project management abilities
•Ability to work effectively with Word, Excel, and Access
•Effective oral and written communication skills
•Ability to work effectively in a team environment
•Good mechanical/spatial relations aptitude
•Experience with Lean manufacturing

Physical Requirements will include:

•Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds
•Must be able to climb up and down moving equipment
•Must be able to work more than 40 hours a week
