Fabcon Expands Board of Directors

SAVAGE, Minn. — September 9, 2010 — Two prominent Twin Cities’ business leaders have joined the board of Fabcon, a leading precast concrete manufacturer. Bill Beer and Dave Goldberg started their three-year terms on August 5.

“During these challenging economic times, Bill and Dave will build on our board’s strengths with fresh perspective and new ideas,” said Mike Le Jeune, president and CEO, Fabcon. “Their business savvy and manufacturing industry knowledge will make them ideal contributors to our success.”

Bill Beer is president and CEO of the Wenger Corporation, which designs, manufactures and markets furniture and equipment for the music and athletic markets. He spent 31 years working in various positions at Maytag Corp., including president of Maytag Appliances, and other posts in sales, marketing, manufacturing and engineering. Beer serves on the board and executive committee of United Way of Steele County, as well as with the Owatonna Foundation Board of Trustees, the Owatonna Hospital Campaign Steering Committee, Allina Hospitals and Clinics Board of Directors, and the Minnesota Business Partnership.

Dave Goldberg is the owner, president and CEO of APEX International Manufacturing, Inc., and majority owner, president and chairman of the board of the Village Company. Previously, he was the owner of Color-Clings for six years and worked for the Hewlett Packard Company for 11 years. Goldberg also has consulted with a number of companies worldwide and has served on the boards of directors of Color-Clings, Inc., Botanic Oil, M&J Investments, Cristophe Levyn, LLC, and Masstige Brands.
